🌿 FAQ — Nilotica Shea Butter
1. What makes Nilotica shea butter different from regular shea butter?
Nilotica shea butter comes from East Africa (Uganda, South Sudan, Ethiopia) and melts instantly on contact with the skin. Unlike traditional shea, it is softer, creamier, and rich in oleic acid — absorbing quickly without leaving a greasy film.
2. Is it refined or pure?
Our butter is 100 % pure, unrefined, and cold-pressed. It keeps its natural vitamins A & E, phytosterols, and antioxidants — no fragrance, no preservatives, no chemicals.
3. What skin types can use it?
Nilotica is non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, dry, or mature skin. Its soft texture makes it ideal even for facial care and lips.
4. How do I use it?
Warm a small amount between your fingers and apply to clean, dry skin. Perfect as a daily moisturizer, lip balm, hand cream, hair mask, or nail care butter.
5. Is it good for hair?
Yes. It smooths and nourishes hair fibers, sealing in moisture and reducing frizz. Use on damp hair or mix with conditioner for a deep-care mask.
6. What does it smell like?
It has a delicate natural scent — soft, nutty, and slightly floral — with no added fragrance. The aroma fades quickly after application.
7. Why is it more expensive?
Nilotica trees grow only along the Nile Valley and yield nuts once a year. Hand-harvested and cold-pressed, the butter is rare and artisanal.
8. How should I store it?
Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Its low melting point makes it soften easily — this is normal and doesn’t affect quality.
9. Is it vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Our Nilotica shea butter is vegan, cruelty-free, and handcrafted in France with traceable East-African origin.
10. Can it be used during pregnancy or on babies?
Completely safe. Ideal for pregnant women and babies thanks to its purity and softness — great for stretch marks or dry baby skin.
